A warm and caring community
We pride ourselves on our supportive community in which our very able girls are nurtured to achieve
personal success. From year 7 girls join a tutor group with which they remain for lessons, making it
easier to settle into a new school and fostering lifelong friendships. Tutor groups are encouraged to
develop skills of team work, tolerance and independence.
Supporting every student
We recognise the range of learning needs of our students and have a Special Needs Coordinator,
Counsellor, School Nurse, Dyslexia Specialist and Heads of Year who all provide support and
guidance. The school has a thriving academic mentoring programme in which trained Sixth Form
students support younger girls. Tutors and our Pastoral Manager get to know students well and offer a
first contact for parents and students.
Partnerships
We develop strong relationships with parents and the local community. We have a thriving parent group
which raises funds for the school with events such as the year 7 parents’ skittles evening and year 7
disco. We also run programmes in Maths and Science for local primary schools. We have close links
with Salisbury Cathedral where we hold our candlelit carol service and annual awards ceremony.
